Welcome to the Parishes of Saint Mark & Saint Rose of Lima

Led by our Shepherd & Pastor Fr. Joseph Rogliano, the parishes of St. Mark and St. Rose of Lima serve the spiritual needs of Roman Catholics from North Buffalo and beyond. Linked since the Fall of 2010, the parishes operate independently, however over time, they are gelling into a North Buffalo Community of Faith. If you are seeking a place to find spiritual fulfillment, we encourage you to visit one of our parishes for a weekend mass. We believe you will find a vibrant community where all are welcome and where you will find yourself quickly at home.

Message from our Pastor

Dear Parishioners:
I am writing this to you on what is supposedly the last day of our extended summer weather. I guess now we can begin our fall season. I hope it is a blessed one for all of you. This weekend, we celebrate our annual fall festival. It is a wonderful day for families. It ’s held at St. Mark today (Sunday) from 1:00 -5:00 p.m. Don’t forget, Chiavetta’s Chicken BBQ is part of the day!

This month begins Respect Life Month. Every Wednesday in October, I will be joining the Legion of Mary saying the rosary. I warmly invite all of you to come pray this Wednesday, or any Wednesday in October as we pay tribute to Mary, our Mother. On Thursday, October 12th, our Holy Name Society sponsors it’s annual open house. The evening begins at 7 p.m. and is held in the rectory. Jenkins and I extend the invitation to current members, new members, and those who may be interested in becoming a part of our wonderful Holy Name Society. Please stop by for fellowship, refreshments, and light food.

In closing, friends, let me wish you a blessed beginning to the month of October. May our Blessed Mother, whom we honor this month, always intercede for us to our Lord and her Son, Jesus Christ. God’s Love and Mine, Fr. Joe

News & Upcoming Events

Shepherd, Bishop J. Malone is coming to St. Mark to celebrate a special mass of re-dedication on Saturday, June 17th, at 4 p.m. There will also be a thank you reception held immediately after mass. Please save the date as our Bishop helps us usher in this new era at St. Mark’s.

Our Mission

The parishes of St. Mark and St. Rose of Lima were linked together in the Fall of 2010, in accordance with the Journey in Faith & Grace. The parishes operate independently. although with a great deal (and increasing instances) of collaboration.

While some day the parish councils may come together to write a joint Mission Statement, it may be difficult to improve on the one that we can find in Matthew:

Going therefore, teach ye all nations: baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world. Mt. 28: 19-20.
